Noah Barsky, PhD, is an educator, speaker, and author with expertise in helping leaders develop the business acumen to deliver results by connecting strategy, risk, and performance measurement.
EDUCATOR Dr. Barsky is a professor in Graduate and Executive business programs at the Villanova University School of Business (USA) and a Cutter Consortium Fellow. He has also taught as a visiting professor in the Executive MBA program at Washington University in St. Louis and the INSEAD MBA program in Europe. Noah has also served as a faculty member, program leader, and curriculum developer with numerous corporate in-house executive education and management training initiatives, including the Institute for Management Studies (since 2001) and ex2 Academy (since 2018).
SPEAKER Dr. Barsky develops and delivers executive education programs for various Fortune 100 companies, professional services firms, and industry associations. He has spoken to executives, managers, organizations, and associations across the globe including: Amazon, Boeing, Discovery Communications, Daiichi Sankyo, Ernst & Young, ITV, KPMG, the National Basketball Association, Nestle, New Balance, New York Life, Sanofi, and WorldPay. His sessions and keynote addresses are on strategy, business risk, and performance measurement. Each challenges audiences to think differently and has been very well received for both delivery and lasting value.
AUTHOR His research and teaching focus on performance measurement, business planning, risk assessment, and contemporary financial reporting issues. Dr. Barsky joined the Forbes platform in 2020. He has authored five books and published over 100 articles in various academic and professional journals, including Strategic Finance, The Economist, Best Practices in Executive Decision Making, Commercial Lending Review, The Cutter Business Technology Journal, and Advances in Business Education and Training. He is currently an editor and advisory board member for the SAGE Publishing Business Case Series.
ACCOLADES AND PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS Noah has received multiple university teaching honors, including, most recently, the 2020 Villanova EMBA Teaching Excellence Award. He has been recognized with national and international awards and grants for his scholarly writing and curriculum innovation.
Dr. Barsky earned his undergraduate and masters degrees from Penn State University and his Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut. He holds active licenses as a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, and Certified Global Management Accountant.
